“99frames” 2012

Hello everybody,
maybe some of you already read some tweets i have sent out talking about “99frames”.
Well you guys can prepare your Quad-Cores (or whatever you have) because 2012 there will be another “99frames” Project. 

Let me talk a bit about the 2011 “99frames”. It was, in my opinion, a total success in more than on way. First of it was my premiere in the “Online-Social” community :), before the project i barely used Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr. But it was very important to me to reach as much people as possible within a more or less short timeframe. And i must say it worked better than i ever thought it would. Twitter, tumblr and all the other plattforms available are a mighty tools to reach out to as many users as possible.

Some Facts (timeframe of 2 months)

• 17.600 visitors on my Tumblr Blog
• 669 Twitter followers (still growing :) )
• 465 Vimeo group members and from these 141 send in movies
• 13.300 times the final movie got played on Vimeo

Theabove facts are impressive to me and that was only possible with the fantastic Cinema4D community. Thank you all for your support.

Another cool fact about 99frames: The Judges & The Sponsors
I remember very well when i started the project, I thought it would be a nice thing if you could win something at the end, if your entry rocks. So i wrote several emails to a lot of people and surprisingly everyone loved the idea and joined the project. You all know the awesome list of sponsors & judges right ? If not here’s a short summery :)

So, enough information :)
This years “99frames” i’ll change the game a bit, but have no fear there’s one rule to rule them all…..“Make a movie no longer than 99 frames @ 30fps”
